Andrew Goudelock frustrated with Olimpia Milano form

After being out for nearly five weeks with a leg injury, many thought that the return of Andrew Goudelock to the Olimpia Milano line-up would re-energise the Italian side going forward.

Instead, Goudelock’s presence has done little to change the fortune as Milano remains near the foot of the EuroLeague table with only Anadolu Efes below them.

Goudelock scored a team-high 20 points in the team’s 87-80 loss to Olympiacos on Friday.

“We’re losing so nothing really feels good with that,” a visibly frustrated Goudelock told Eurohoops. “Even if we play OK, it doesn’t really feel good. We lost. Nobody cares how you play as an individual, no matter how you play, when you lose.”

With half of the EuroLeague season in the books, and 14 matches still yet to play, the chances of Milano reaching the post-season look pretty slim. Goudelock is adamant that his side will keep fighting if they are to progress further.

“For sure it’s tough to look towards the EuroLeague playoffs,” he said.

“We’re not winning as much as we would like to. We got a lot of game taken away from us in the last second and defeats by 1 or 2 points. We’re still trying to build. The coaches tell us to take it every day. Trying to get better and see what happens. So we’ll continue doing that and keep fighting.”
