As TalkBasket reported almost a week ago, Paulius Jankunas returned to his beloved Zalgiris.
Jankunas signed a 2+1 years deal with undisclosed financial terms and is set to lead his previous team to glory. The international Lithuanian power forward spent the last season with Khimki Moscow but after the Russian finalists signed many forwards-centers Jankunas decided to leave.
Last season he averaged 8.2 points and 4.9 rebounds in euroleague with Khimki while in his last season with Zalgiris, two years ago, he averaged 13.8 points and 8 reobunds. It is worth mentioning that next season will be his 7th season in Euroleague, wearing the Zalgiris jersey.
As things are Zalgiris is expected to have one of the strongest and most interesting front lines in the next edition of Euroleague.
