New York Knicks’ Enes Kanter is a wanted man as it was revealed that prosecutors in Turkey want the big man arrested after he insulted Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to number of outlets in the States, Kanter would be tried in absentia regarding tweets he posted about Erdogan in May and June 2016.

Earlier in May, Kanter was detained at an airport in Romania and was told that his Turkish passport was cancelled.

Kanter, who is a supporter of Erdogan opponent Fethullah Gulen, said the detainment and passport cancellation had to do with his political views.

The Knicks man has also claimed that his father, Mehmet was arrested by Turkish authorities due to the center’s political views.
