San Antonio Spurs big man Pau Gasol shared a special bond with Kobe Bryant when the Spaniard was with the Los Angeles Lakers and as team-mates, they complimented each other well.
Bryant spoke fluent Spanish and the two would often communicate to each other in Gasol’s native tongue. Together they won two NBA titles in 2009 and 2010, and were team-mates until 2014 when Pau left for the Chicago Bulls.
But even now with the San Antonio Spurs, Gasol still fondly rememebers Bryant, how can you not? Tonight, the legendary Laker will have his number 8 and 24 jerseys retired and hung in the Staples Center rafters during half-time between the Lakers and the Golden State Warriors.
You deserve this one and all the recognitions in the world. Thank you for bringing so much to the sport of basketball #brother!
