FIBA to eliminate one of the international windows?

FIBA is reportedly ready to offer to EuroLeague Basketball a compromise and eliminate either the November or the February FIBA World Cup national team qualifiers.

In what could prove to be a solid move, if agreed upon, Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo reports that this would commence from next season, while EuroLeague has recently announced that a new offer will be made to FIBA concerning the international national windows during their ECA meeting.

Despite the overwhelming amount of negative press that the FIBA windows received regarding the in-season international games, the November fixtures proved to be big hits, with sold out venues across the globe and thrilling games played in Europe where a small group of EuroLeague players joined their respective teams.

The next set of international games around the globe are set to restart in February.
