Wade, a three-time NBA champion with all three coming with the Miami Heat averaged 18 points for the Chicago Bulls last season. In 14 NBA seasons, Wade has averaged 23.3 points, 5.7 assists and 4.8 rebounds a game.
Two of those championships came with team-mate and close friend LeBron James, who he will reunite with in Cleveland.
Wade however hasn’t ruled out the idea of a future return to the Heat, but his desire to join a contender overtook the sentiment of a potential reunion, according to ESPN.
Wade has reconciled his Miami relationships after a difficult free-agent parting in 2016.
