Primoz Brezec calls it a day, heads to Cleveland as a scout

Slovenian big man Primoz Brezec has announced his retirement from basketball at the age of 37.

He will immediately take up a role as club scout for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Brezec, who finished his career in Bahrain last season was selected by Indiana Pacers with the 27th pick of the 2000 NBA Draft and went on to have spells with Charlotte, Detroit, Toronto and Milwaukee.

Following his NBA stint, Brezec went on to Russia where he played for Nizhny Novgorod and Lokomotiv Kuban before entering his twilight years in Cyprus where he won the 2017 Cypriot Cup MVP with AEK Larnaca.
