Croatia name strong roster for EuroBasket

Croatia have announced their final roster ahead of Eurobasket with Philadelphia 76ers forward Dario Saric and Indiana Pacers shooter Bojan Bogdanovic headlining the team.

It will be a redemption Eurobasket for the Croats this year, having been eliminated tamely in the second round by the Czech Republic in Lille, two years ago.

That loss led to the departure of then head coach Velimir Perasovic following the defeat. But since then, Croatia have shown their true credentials, advancing to the Rio Olympics last summer via the additional qualifiers.

Along with Saric and Bogdanovic, Croatia also have veterans Krunoslav Simon and Roko Leni Ukic on the roster.

Croatia will have an early rematch with Czech Republic in Group C along with Montenegro, Hungary, hosts Romania and holders Spain.

Croatia Roster:

Roko Leni Ukic, Bojan Bogdanovic, Marko Popovic, Filip Kruslin, Krunoslav Simon, Dario Saric, Darko Planinic, Marko Tomas, Dragan Bender, Luka Zoric, Ivan Ramliak and Ivan Buva.
