Although Israeli media yesterday announced that Sarunas Jasikevicius will finalise his move to Maccabi in the coming days, such news is not true according to his agency ProTalent. The point guard is still in talks with Panathinaikos and nothing is clear yet.
Marco Santorellio, the spokesman of ProTalent, made the following statement:
‘ProTalent denies Sarunas Jacikevicius agreed terms or close to agreeing terms with Maccabi.
‘Reports today about our client “agreeing terms with Maccabi Tel-Aviv” are completely false!
‘Sarunas Jacikevicius is still in talks with Panathinaikos about a new contract and we hope that in the next couple of days things will be clearer.’
