Brazilian guard Marcelinho Huertas was officially unveiled by Baskonia today as he returns to Spain from a short spell with the Los Angeles Lakers.

In his 76 games with the Lakers, spanning two seasons, Huertas only started one game, averaging 14.6 minutes and 3.9 points a game. A stark contrast to his solid stats with Barcelona and also for Baskonia, then Caja Laboral.

“I’m the same player, maybe older but still in good shape, Huertas said.

“Some things have changed in the team, my ambitions are still the same though. I will be Prigioni’s “voice” inside the court. I’ve always admired him.”
