Despite gathering interest from various clubs in Europe, most notably from Fenerbahce, Bradley Wanamaker will stay at Darussafaka Basket after all.
It is certainly an unexpected move, as Wanamaker looked set to stay in the EuroLeague but with another club. There was even a hint of the American trying for a move to the NBA.
The free-scoring Wanamaker, who averaged career-high numbers of 16.7 points, 4.6 assists while shooting 38.6 percent from three-point land last season will ply his trade in the EuroCup instead.
Many are reporting that the presence of coach David Blatt on the bench played a role in Wanamaker’s decision. And the question now is if Fenerbahce will still try at the last minute to lure him or look elsewhere for a replacement.
