Jordan McRae inks deal with Baskonia

Baskonia has found a scorer on the perimeter by hiring former NBA champion Jordan McRae for the coming season.

The 26-year-old McRae arrives from Cleveland, with whom he won the NBA title in 2016 in a reserve role. McRae played in 52 games over two seasons with Cleveland and in seven games more with Phoenix, averaging 4.4 points and 9.8 minutes in the NBA.

He started his pro career abroad with Melbourne of the Australian League, where he finished the 2014-15 season ranked third in scoring with 19.9 points on average over 27 games, and spent another season with Delaware of the NBA D-League.

Prior to turning pro, McRae starred at University of Tennessee over four seasons, averaging 13.3 points in that span. He is the son of the late Conrad McRae, who spent many years as a pro in Europe, including stints with current EuroLeague clubs Fenerbahce Dogus and Anadolu Efes.
