Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildirim has revealed that the team are in negotiations to land Bradley Wanamaker.

Yildirim spoke during a football show “100% Football” TV show on NTV Spor where the conversation of basketball came about.

“[Zeljko] Obradovic told me that they have agreed to terms with [Brad] Wanamaker,” said Yildirim. “But there are some conditions that Obradovic wants about the duration of the contract. Both sides are still negotiating.”

Wanamaker finished lay season’s EuroLeague campaign with Darussafaka Basket averaging 16.7 points, 4.6 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game, earning himself All-EuroLeague Second Team honors.

Wanamaker’ efforts helped Darussafaka Basket to the EuroLeague Playoffs for the first time ever where they bowed out to Real Madrid in the first round.

Fenerbahce Deputy chairman Sekip Monsuroglu also talked about the American guard and how close he is to the reigning EuroLeague champions.

“We had a dinner with our basketball branch. Obradovic told me that they are seeing Wanamaker as a “cherry on top” transfer,” he said.

“Obradovic told us that Wanamaker was waiting for an NBA contract but he couldn’t get that until now. If he won’t get a contract from NBA and if Obradovic still wants him, this transfer is going to be finalized. Coach is satisfied with the team right now.”
