Slovenian legend Erazem Lorbek has become the latest cut of the national team ahead of Eurobasket at the end of the month.
The 33-year-old Lorbek, who has appeared for Slovenia in four Eurobasket tournaments from 2005 to 2011 has not featured for a team since leaving Barcelona in 2014.
Lorbek did sign for French side Limoges in December 2016, but he failed his medical.
The forward was cut from Slovenia’s coach Igor Kokoskov’s squad alongside Gregor Hrovat.
The news was made shortly after Slovenia’s 88-80 Eurobasket-preparation win over the Czech Republic. NBA Draft prospect and current EuroLeague Rising Star Luka Doncic went for 20 points, eight rebounds. two assists, two steals and two blocks.
