Serbia came from behind to win the FIBA European U18 Championships with a 74-62 win over Spain in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Trailing by a point at half-time, tournament MVP Nikola Miskovic started the Serbian charge with the first five points of the second half, as Serbia outscored Spain 21-11 in the third quarter to set up the championship victory – giving them their first title at this level since 2009.

Marko Pecarski led the way for the winners with a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The two sides were joined on the podium by Lithuania, who earlier in the day defeated Turkey in an overtime thriller, 97-88 in the third placed game.

CROATIA AND GB HEAD TO DIVISION A

Croatia captured the U18 Division B crown after overcoming Great Britain 90-84 in Tallinn, Estonia.

Both sides though were promoted to Division A with the Brits qualifying at the first attempt as Great Britain after merging England, Scotland and Wales together.

The two nations replace Slovenia and this year’s Division A hosts Slovak Republic, who have both been relegated to Division B.
