Vassilis Spanoulis’ agent had arrived in Athens today in order to finalise the deal of his other client, Dusan Ivkovic, with Olympiacos and Greek media are buzzing that Spanoulis could also sign a contract with the Reds and be announced today.
Olympiacos have made the best offer to Spanoulis (2.4mil per season for 3 years) and are very confident that they will land the player, as Panathinaikos are not making any further move to keep the player and are just waiting for an answer to their offer, which is of course significantly less (about 1.9 per season).
Panathinaikos is waiting for the final conclusion of the “Spanoulis saga” in order to offer new deals to Drew Nicholas and Mike Batiste.
