Real Madrid released Darjus Lavrinovic too

Darjus LavrinovicThe mass-firing at Real Madrid continues. Darjus Lavrinovic is the latest player who was released by the Spanish giants. However, this might not mean that Lavrinovic will not play in Real Madrid next season.

Spanish website as.com reports that the club is willing to start negotiations with Lavrinovic once his current contract is terminated in an attempt to sign the Lithuanian center for a lower salary. That also means that Lavrinovic will be able to negotiate with other teams too and choose the offer that he likes best.

Lithuanian international was one of a more important players in Madrid last season with 11.4 points and 4.5 points per game in Euroleague. Though towards the end of the season he wasn’t trusted so much by head coach Ettore Messina and saw more time on the bench instead.

It is being reported that Jorge Garbajosa, Rimantas Kaukenas, Louis Bullock, Travis Hansen, Marko Jaric, Tomas Van Den Spiegel and Vladimir Dasic will all be leaving the club too.
