“It is great for us to secure Rob’s services for the next four years,” reflected Managing Director Russell Levenston.

“We’ve enjoyed some fantastic times together over the last nine years, he has been an integral part of the clubs’ success both on and off court.

“Rob has an exciting vision of the future for this club and shares our ambitions to push the club forwards in all aspects. Plans are in place and we are aiming to compete in Europe when the time is right for us to do so.

“We are building something special here and are delighted Coach Rob has committed his future to us.”

Since retiring as a player, Rob Paternostro has found instant success as a head coach.

Coach Paternostro has won the BBL coach of the year title four times, which includes the last two seasons.

“I am very pleased to make this long-term commitment to the club, and the confidence they have shown in me, and excited by the challenges ahead,” said Paternostro.

“Over the last nine seasons, I have been made to feel very welcome, by the club and all the staff and volunteers, and, of course, our tremendous fans.

“Everyone has been extremely welcoming to me and my family, and we are well-settled in the city. I have also come to find what a great sporting city Leicester is, and recognise the appreciation of the people locally to all their sporting teams.”
