Luigi Datome will stay on with Fenerbahce Dogus until the 2019-2020 season, the team announced today.
The Italian was an integral part in Fenerbahce’s successful 2016-17 campaign. Datome averaged 9.2 points and 3.7 rebounds in the EuroLeague, culminating in continental glory.
Datome joined the Turkish giants from the Boston Celtics. In his 55 NBA games with the Celtics and before that the Pistons from 2013 to 2015, he only made one career start.
With Kostas Sloukas also confirmed as a returnee for next season, the club are reportedly aiming to re-sign Serbian forward Nikola Kalinic.
