Dario Saric unanimous in NBA Rookie votes

Croatia international and Philadelphia 76ers forward Dario Saric leads the 2016-17 NBA All-Rookie first team with Spain’s Willy Hernangomez of the New York Knicks also included.

In fact, out of the starting five, there are four internationals included in the first team.

Philadelphia 76ers Joel Embiid of Cameroon and Sacramento Kings’ Buddy Hield of the Bahamas are the other internationals included with Milwaukee Bucks guard Malcolm Brogdon revealed.

Spain international and New York Knicks player Willy Hernangomez was included into the All-Rookie first team.

Saric, along with Brogdon were unanimously voted into this season’s first team with both players receiving all 100 first team votes from a global panel of sports writers and broadcasters.

Embiid received 171 points, 82 first team votes, Hield got 154 points, 63 first team votes and Hernangomez tallied 128 points, 44 first team votes.

The NBA All-Rookie second team consists of Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray (123 points, 34 First Team votes), Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (106 points, 24 First Team votes), Phoenix Suns forward Marquese Chriss (91 points, 20 First Team votes), Los Angeles Lakers forward Brandon Ingram (83 points, 11 First Team votes) and Dallas Mavericks guard Yogi Ferrell (63 points, 7 First Team votes).
