Baskonia coach Sito Alonso will be reportedly leaving the club and speculation that an old fan favourite could be replacing him.
According to EL MUNDO, Baskonia informed Alonso that he won’t be head coach next season. He had signed a one-year contract with the option for a second.
So far the decision has only been announced to him verbally but a statement is expected soon.
However, in a surprising twist, “El Correo” has reported that recently retired player Pablo Prigioni is among the candidates to take over the coaching mantle even though the Argentine had had no previous coaching experience.
