Barcelona’s Victor Claver will be out for roughly five months after he underwent surgery on the external part of the meniscus in his left knee.
For Claver, it means that he is ruled out of this summer’s Eurobasket meaning that the 28-year-old will be absent for international duties for the first time since 2009.
Spain is competing in Group C together with Croatia, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Hungary and hosts Romania.
Claver was one of Barca’s more constant performers this season but even missed a portion of the season due to injury. He averaged six points a game in a lacklustre EuroLeague season.
