Olympiacos tells Halperin to take his business elsewhere

What started off as a fairy-tale is coming to an abrupt end after Olympiacos ordered the player’s agent to start looking for a new team for his client to play for next season. Halperin had joined Olympiacos in the summer of 2008 claiming he was an Olympiacos fan since he was a teenager.

Halperin had delighted the Red fans after scoring 20 points in his debut in OAKA vs Panathinaikos but the player feels he was side-lined unfairly by his coach and saw his role diminish as time went on until he was removed from Olympiacos squad for Greek league games.

Halperin’s agent offered the player to Maccabi Tel Aviv (he also represents Burstein who returned to the “People’s team”) but according to him the Euroleague powerhouse rejected the offer saying they are not interested in him due to taxation reasons in Israel.

Nevertheless, Halperin has already more than decent offers from Spain, Russia and Italy and one thing is certain, he won’t be in Greece next season.
