The rumours about Brad Newley’s move from Besiktas to Lietuvos Rytas came true today. Player’s agency BeoBasket announced that Australian international signed two-year contract with Lietuvos Rytas. Further details have not been disclosed.
Newly will become the second Aussie in Rytas along Aron Baynes unless his compatriot is out of the team. Such possibility has not been ruled out by Jonas Vainauskas who is a GM of Rytas.
During 23 games this season Newley averaged 16.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game for Besiktas in the Turkish league.
Lithuanian champions are close to finalising deals with three other players. The club hopes to finish building their roster for the next season until mid-June.
