Brose Bamberg received bad news: team leader Janis Strelnieks due to a shoulder injury will be out for a month. Bamberg is going to miss Latvian guard who torn shoulder ligaments a lot as they are three games behind the TOP 8 spot in Euroleague.

With eight games left in Euroleague regular season, Bamberg finds themselves in 11th place with 8-14 record. Loosing their 27-year-old scoring leader Bamberg can find it difficult to win games and make it to TOP 8. Although, Strelnieks injury does not require surgery what can be a relief to Germany champions.

Strelnieks in 22 games in Euroleague averaged 11,7 points, while, shooting 45,9% from downtown, 2,2 rebounds and 3,5 assists per game. Latvian is the only player in Bamberg team that averages double digit number of points.
