Copa del Rey round up: Barcelona and Valencia comfortably through

Barcelona and Valencia completed the Copa del Rey semi-final line-up with comfortable victories in their respective quarter-final contests.

The Catalan side needed a strong second half performance to overcome Unicaja Malaga 82-70 as young Swedish international Marcus Ericsson was the main difference maker in Barcelona’s game-changing run.

Ericsson had 18 points with nine of those coming as part of a 12-4 run in the third quarter as Barca turned a 33-28 half-time deficit on its head.

Tyrese Rice led the winners with 20 points.

A Bojan Dubljevic double-double helped Valencia to an 88-72 win over a sub-par Gran Canaria side.
