Liga Endesa 2016-17 round up (week 20)

Real Madrid maintained their tight grip of top spot in the Liga Endesa following a comfortable 89-61 win on the road against UCAM Murcia.

Jaycee Carroll led the league leaders with 21 points, with Sergio Llull adding 19 as they eased to the win, while holding popular Murcia guard Facu Campazzo, who is at the club on loan from Real to just two points.

Second-placed Tenerife kept up the pace as they prevailed 89-75 against struggling Joventut Badalona.

However, Barcelona dropped to fourth place as they slipped up at home to Bilbao 76-68 as Alex Mumbru paced the winners with 17 points. The loss was made worse as Justin Doellman was taken off with an injury which could leave the Catalan side in danger for the week’s EuroLeague fixtures.
