Darussafaka Dogus signs Croatian talent Ante Zizic

Turkish side Darussafaka Dogus made an investment to future by signing Croatian prodigy Ante Zizic. It will be the first team for him outside of native Croatia.

The 19-year-old center is highly regarded in Europe and one of the top prospect of his generation. Zizic was also noticed by the NBA scouts and got drafted by the Boston Celtic as a 23rd overall pick in the summer of 2016.

Before joining David Blatt’s team Zizic played for Cibona Zagreb. On 11 October 2016, Zizic was named MVP of the fourth week of the Adriatic Basketball League after scoring 37 points and grabbing 20 rebounds in Cibona’s win against MZT Skopje Aerodrom.

It wasn’t just a single game when the 19-year-old shined for Cibona. Zizic had impressive stats in the ABA League this season: 20 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.
