Lokomotiv, Coach Katsikaris part ways

Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar and head coach Fotis Katsikaris parted ways, the club announced Friday. Vlada Jovanovic will serve as interim head coach as the club seeks a permanent replacement.

According to a statement released by Lokomotiv, the decision was made by mutual consent. The decision comes after Lokomotiv dropped three straight games in the 7DAYS EuroCup to fall to fourth place at 1-3 in Group D. The team is 2-2 and tied for sixth place in the VTB United League.

Katsikaris, 49, had first joined the club in July. He is a former EuroCup Coach of the Year and Greek national team head coach.
