ImageCSKA's Russian coach Evgeny Pashutin, who has been criticised about his team's performance so far, said that the three most important things to look after will be controling the rhythm of the game, play solid defense and grab the rebounds in order to stand a chance against Caja Laboral away.

Of course things will be difficult with his team with his big guys knocked out of the game, but Pashutin did not find any excuses: "Caja Laboral is a traditionally strong team with well-known Coach Ivanovic at the head. CSKA and the team from Vitoria always had very difficult and interesting games and I think this game will be no different. Their game builds through Spilitter and Teletovic, though the team has a number of good perimeter players. Caja Laboral likes to play fast, especially at home, so we should try to control the rhythm of the game, play good defense and to focus on rebounds."

Zoran Planinic returned to Vitoria after two years and was extremely happy about it: "I am excited to go to Vitoria and to meet the local fans first of all. I was happy to play for them, because they are extremely supportive, they fill the arena even for exhibition games and give you extra energy to play even if you step on the court in a lazy mood. From my times in Tau there are only two players left on the roster – Teletovic and Splitter. But the team’s concept remains the same – to play aggressive, to fight for all 40 minutes. We should be well prepared and focused to win in Vitoria."
