London Lions’ unbeaten start to the BBL Championship came to an end on Friday night, while Newcastle Eagles recorded a convincing win on the road.

The Lions fell to a 101-86 defeat away at Sheffield Sharks as Mike Tuck and Kyle Odister netted 22 points apiece.

Meanwhile, the Eagles pulled clear in the second half as they earned a 87-67 success over Worcester Wolves with Rahmon Fletcher scoring 22 points.

On Sunday, Leeds Force defended home court, while Plymouth Raiders and Worcester Wolves earned victories on the road.

Force came from behind to beat Surrey Scorchers 76-62 with Rob Marsden finishing with an impressive 12 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists in the win.

Meanwhile, Plymouth pulled clear for an 84-93 win at Cheshire Phoenix behind 29 points from Anton Grady.

Also, Worcester held off Manchester Giants’ fightback with Marek Klassen handing out 14 assists in his side’s 84-91 triumph.
