Barcelona’s Pau Ribas will be out at least four months with a ruptured Achilles’ tendon in his left side.
Ribas suffered the injury during the Catalan side’s loss to Crvena Zvezda on Wednesday night. Up until that point, the guard had nine points and was in good form until the unfortunate turn of events.
The team have announced that the 29-year-old will undergo surgery on Friday. Ribas is in his second season with Barcelona and averaged 6.1 points on 42.4 percent three-point shooting and 2.7 assists in a reserve role last season.
