As the Spanish "AS" reports after being pressured by major clubs, especially Maccabi Tel Aviv and Panathinaikos, Euroleague decided to increase sporting results bonuses through its TV rights revenues towards the teams.
So from now on every team which will make it to the Top16 will become richer by 400.000 euros while the four teams that will make it to the Final Four will each get a 2.000.000 euros bonus.
This is a considerable increase if one has in mind that last season's champions Panathinaikos were awarded a total of 900.000 euros throughtout the season.
