After inching closer to the EuroLeague crown for the last two Final Fours, Fenerbahce’s Bogdan Bogdanovic aims for third lucky this upcoming season.

Bogdanovic and his Fenerbahce side narrowly missed out last season, losing to CSKA Moscow in overtime of the championship game but following on from a silver medal at the Rio Olympics, playing for Serbia, the 24-year-old wants to be on that podium come May 2017.

“Every day I’m more hungry, not thinking that I achieved a dream by winning the silver,” Bogdanovic said to  Sportski Zurnal.

“There are constantly new goals and that is to win the Euroleague with Fenerbahce. I know it will not be easy against CSKA, but many see us as the favorite and the season is going to be long.”

It is a possibility that Bogdanovic, who is in the third year of his four-year deal with Fenerbahce could test NBA waters next season and that he wants to win the EuroLeague title before he heads to the league where the Sacramento Kings hold his rights.

From the second year, Bogdanovic’s contract allows him to trigger an opt-out clause, which could seal a move to the NBA. However, Bogdanovic is not thinking that far ahead.

“I do not like to hurry and think in advance,” he explains. “I have to go slowly. I’ve got a tough season in Fenerbahce coming up and I want to focus there. And then we will see.”
