Corey Fisher joins Lietuvos Rytas

On Thursday afternoon, Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius made official the addition of guard Corey Fisher for a one-year deal.

Fisher (1.85 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Guaros de Lara of Venezuela, with which he won the Americas Cup last season. He only played 3 games there however, averaging 11.3 points and 2.7 rebounds. Fisher played college ball in Vilanova until 2011, and he soon moved to Europe to pursue a professional career. He played in Turkey, Spain, Russia, China, Croatia and Venezuela before moving to Lithuania.

Fisher is also notorious for having scored 105 points in 2010, in a streetball game played in New York. His numbers in that game included 23 of 28 three-pointers.

Fisher, fills up for Donnie McGrath, who had to leave the team early due to personal reasons, will be making his 7DAYS EuroCup debut next season.
