Josh Hart says he skips dinner after losses and poor performances

New York Knicks guard Josh Hart revealed that his eating habits after games are often determined by the team’s results and his individual performance, admitting that he sometimes refuses to have dinner when he feels he has not played well enough.

Hart explained that losing a game can leave him so frustrated that he chooses to go straight to bed without eating, regardless of whether he is hungry.

Hart: “For me, honestly, it depends on whether we won or lost. If we lose, I go to sleep without eating. I don’t care.”

However, Hart’s approach is not limited to defeats. During the conversation, JB pointed out that the Knicks guard has also canceled dinner plans following victories when he was dissatisfied with his own contribution.

JB: “No, no. There have been times we’ve won and Josh hasn’t played well, and we had dinner plans afterward, and he says, ‘I’m going home.’”

Hart confirmed that his personal standards can sometimes outweigh the satisfaction of winning, explaining that he does not always feel he has earned the opportunity to enjoy a meal after a disappointing performance.

Hart: “I didn’t play well enough to deserve dinner.”
