The Detroit Pistons have exercised their team option on forward Ron Holland II for the 2027-28 NBA season, keeping the young player under contract for another year.
The decision guarantees Holland an $11.5 million salary for the fourth and final season of his rookie-scale contract.
Holland, the fifth overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, has established himself as a regular contributor in Detroit’s rotation during his first two seasons in the league.
The 6-foot-8 forward appeared in 78 games last season, averaging 8.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals per contest.
His availability has also been notable, as Holland has played in 159 of a possible 164 regular-season games since entering the NBA.
