The Milwaukee Bucks have re-signed Pete Nance to a two-way contract, Marc Stein reported on Monday, October 19. The move brings the forward back to Milwaukee after the team waived him during its roster cuts ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season.

Nance was previously on a two-year contract signed in July, but the deal was non-guaranteed. Milwaukee waived him on October 17 rather than guarantee his $2.5 million salary for the season. The Bucks subsequently brought him back on a two-way deal.

The 26-year-old made significant progress with Milwaukee last season, appearing in 47 games and averaging 5.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 15.6 minutes per contest. He shot 51.5% from the field and 42% from three-point range, providing the Bucks with frontcourt depth and perimeter shooting.

Nance also produced in the G League with the Wisconsin Herd in 2025-26, averaging 20.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 13 appearances. He shot 56.5% overall and 42.7% from beyond the arc.

The forward originally joined the Bucks on a two-way contract in February 2025 after stints with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers. Milwaukee converted his deal to a standard contract in March 2026, and he finished the season with career highs in NBA appearances and production.

Nance went undrafted in 2023 after playing college basketball at Northwestern and North Carolina. His return gives Milwaukee another option in the frontcourt as the team enters a new season following its offseason trade of Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat.
