Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo spoke about teammate Myron Gardner’s intensity following a preseason game, acknowledging that the young forward sometimes needs to control his emotions on the court.
Gardner received a technical foul during the contest, but Adebayo defended his aggressive approach, explaining that his energy can provide a boost for the entire team.
The Heat center also revealed that head coach Erik Spoelstra offered to cover Gardner’s technical foul fine.
“We gotta calm him down sometimes because he can cross that line … that’s what we love about Myron – he plays hard every single time he steps on the floor and that can spark a game like it did out there.
“Now it was a technical, but Spo said he will pay it, and technicals really count in preseason? They count? That’s crazy … Myron is one of those undrafted underdogs who’s trying to make it … we all feel his energy …”
