Former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom has praised WNBA star Sophie Cunningham for publicly speaking out on men competing in women’s sports.
Freedom described Cunningham as “an American hero” and said her position has attracted support from people around the world.
According to Freedom, Cunningham’s willingness to express her views has also encouraged others to publicly stand behind her.
“Everywhere she goes, I see now a lot of people are coming out and actually defending her… But I think she’s inspiring not only the players in WNBA, but girls from all over the world.”
