German veteran Alex King has signed a one-year deal for Bayern Munich with the option of a second.

King, 31, heads to Munich from ALBA Berlin where he spent three seasons at the club. Last year, King came off the bench, averaging 4.2 points, 3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 17 games, helping ALBA reach the EuroCup eighthfinals where they lost to Bayern.

King also averaged 5.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists in the easyCredit BBL last season.

The veteran grew up in Munich and started his love affair with basketball with the Bayern Munich youth teams before he got his break in the professional ranks with Frankfurt Skyliners, Telekom Baskets Bonn and s.Oliver Wuerzburg before moving to ALBA.

The German has also represented the national team, playing for Germany at Eurobasket 2013 in Slovenia.
