EA7 Milano extends contract of Bruno Cerella

EA7 Emporio Armani Milan announced that it has extended the contract of guard Bruno Cerella after their three seasons together until now.

Cerella, 29 is a defensive specialist who has averaged two points while in 49 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games for Milan over the last three seasons. Cerella was instrumental while coming off the bench to stop opposing scorers in his debut EuroLeague season, when Milan made the playoffs for the first time. Cerella, born and raised in Argentina, moved to Italy as a teenager and worked his way up through lower-division teams to join Teramo in 2008.

He played there for three of the next four seasons before joining Varese in 2012-13 and Milan the next season. Cerella is a co-founder of the charity project “Slums Dunk”, which he helps operate during the off-season in Kenya and Zambia. It aims to provide basketball coaching, facilities and education to underprivileged youngsters in slums.
