Anthony Edwards has been listed as questionable for Game 1 of the Timberwolves’ first-round playoff series against the Denver Nuggets due to “right knee injury maintenance.”
Despite the designation, he is expected to suit up on Saturday and participated fully in team scrimmages earlier this week.
Edwards dealt with the knee issue late in the regular season, missing 11 of the team’s final 14 games, which ultimately left him short of the NBA’s 65-game requirement for award eligibility.
However, in his most recent appearance last Friday, he showed no visible limitations.
Minnesota’s matchup with Denver carries some recent history, as the Timberwolves defeated the Nuggets in a Game 7 during last year’s second-round series.
Denver appeared to try to avoid a rematch by resting much of its rotation in the regular-season finale against San Antonio, seemingly positioning for a different opponent.
Instead, the Nuggets won that game, setting up another meeting with Edwards and the Wolves.
