The Los Angeles Lakers are adding guard Nick Smith Jr. on a two-year standard deal.
He will take the team’s 15th roster spot, which became available after Kobe Bufkin was waived.
With the signing, Smith will also be eligible to participate in the playoffs.
In 29 appearances for Los Angeles, the 6-foot-2 guard has averaged 6.0 points in 12.3 minutes per game.
He has also been effective from beyond the arc, shooting 40% on 2.8 three-point attempts per contest.
