Unicaja Malaga signed one of the spanish hot names in the market this summer. Power-forward Guillem Rubio (1982, 2.02) signed a contract for the next three seasons. He comes from Basquet Manresa.
Rubio is right now training with Spanish NT, trying to earn himself a spot in the team that will participate in Eurobasket. Last season he was one of the most improved players in the league, after some years considered like a good prospect.
His numbers with Manresa last year were 9.5 ppg, 4.1 rpg. He even got the MVP of the last round of the regular season, after scoring 31 points.
