The Brooklyn Nets have a $6.25MM team option on center Day’Ron Sharpe for next season, and his future with the team remains uncertain.

Speaking to Brian Lewis of The New York Post, Sharpe said he’s unsure what Brooklyn plans to do.

“I don’t know. Whatever the team has planned for me, that’s what they’ve got,” the player said.

The 24-year-old big man, who has earned praise from head coach Jordi Fernandez, is currently recovering from season-ending thumb surgery.

Looking ahead, Sharpe said he plans to focus on improving his conditioning this summer and is interested in expanding his game by developing a three-point shot.

Sharpe has played 5 seasons for the Nets. He has averaged 7.0 points and 5.9 rebounds in 253 regular-season games.
