Cedevita Zagreb signs Scotty Hopson

Croatian champion Cedevita Zagreb added a big scoring threat to its roster, signing a one-year deal with swingman Scotty Hopson, club announced on Sunday.

Hopson (2.00 meters, 27 years old) last played in China with Foshan Long Lions and averaged 22.1 points, along with 5.6 rebounds and 3 assists. He returns to the European continent where he previously spent three seasons, including a stint with Anadolu Efes Istanbul in 2013-14 campaign when he played 11 EuroLeague games for the Turkish side and posted 15.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.3 steals.

Since turning pro in 2011, he has played for Kolossos in Greece, Hapoel Eilat in Israel, Cleveland in the NBA, Canton and Sioux Falls in the Development League, and also had a brief stint in 2015 with Laboral Kutxa Vitoria Gasteiz in Spain. Now he is set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut this coming season.
