Svetislav Pesic leaves Bayern Munich, leaving door open for Djordevic

After four years in charge, Svetislav Pesic has left Bayern Munich by mutual consent, leaving the door open for fellow countryman Sasha Djordevic to take over.

Pesic has cited health reasons for leaving, as he is due to undergo knee surgery. The club are reported to announce Djordevic within the week.

Pesic took the Bayern job in 2012 and guided his team to the EuroLeague, making them a regular force in European competition. The 66-year-old has won gold medals at the 2002 FIBA world championships and 2003 Eurobasket with the old Yugoslavia as head coach.
