Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan has recently found himself at the center of speculation, with reports linking him to the head coaching vacancy at University of North Carolina.
The situation has raised questions about whether he could leave Chicago after the season.
When asked about the rumors before Wednesday’s game in Philadelphia, Donovan didn’t directly dismiss the possibility.
However, he emphasized that his attention remains on his current team and their immediate goals, as reported by Tony Jones of The Athletic.
“My main focus is on these guys and this new team,” Donovan said. “I understand that there’s stuff out there, and I understand that there is going to be certain speculation.
“But, I have to concentrate on this group, and really, my focus is on what we’re doing here in Chicago, having a game (Wednesday), and traveling to go and play in a back-to-back.”
Despite the external noise, Donovan appears committed to guiding the Bulls through the remainder of the season.
