Atlanta Hawks head coach Quin Snyder credited Dyson Daniels for impacting the game defensively against Milwaukee. “It’s hard to come up with the superlatives for him defensively,” Snyder said.

The coach emphasized the collective effort of the team. “The thing that I’m most impressed with is how unselfish they are. Everybody’s sacrificing something for one another,” he explained.

He highlighted the Hawks’ balance on offense. “We almost had six guys with double-figure shot attempts. That’s a group that’s sharing the ball,” Snyder said.

The coach praised individual contributions while noting team synergy. “Jalen, when we extended the lead, made some elite passes… and the willingness to get off the ball and make those plays was really impressive,” he said. Snyder also noted CJ McCollum’s defensive effort and opportunistic distribution.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker’s aggressiveness on both ends drew recognition. “What Nickeil is doing, just being aggressive, ready to shoot and running and defending, helps the team play well,” Snyder said.

Bench players also received credit. “Zaccharie and Corey were both outstanding… Zacch found flow, defended well, and went to the offensive glass. Corey brings a level of competitiveness that’s unique,” Snyder said.

Snyder praised the team’s second-half effort in overcoming an early 16-point deficit. “It’s a really good win for us to get back above .500 for the first time in a few months,” he said.

Atlanta outscored Milwaukee 65-42 in the second half behind 23 points from Alexander-Walker, 21 from Onyeka Okongwu, and 20 points with nine assists from Jalen Johnson. CJ McCollum added 18 points, while Daniels recorded 14 points and 10 rebounds.

The Hawks improved to 32-31, moving five games ahead of the Bucks in the Eastern Conference standings, who fell to 26-35 after losing their fourth straight game by a combined 97 points.

Snyder highlighted defensive discipline as the foundation for the Hawks’ success. “Our focus has really been on the defensive end, which is something we need. That’s the key for us,” he said.

Atlanta hosts the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, while Milwaukee faces the Utah Jazz.
